Yesterday Matt's mom picked us up and drove us down to Fall River, where his grandma's cousins live.  Basically, I met a whole bunch of relaives I'll probably never see again -- even Matt had n't seen some of them since he was six -- but it was fun.  They're a wacky bunch, mostly conservative, so I had to hold my tongue.  For me the most valuable part was getting to spend more time with Matt's mom.  I really like her.  I can see why she drives him crazy, but he's way too hard on her.  Their whole family just has a very different dynamic from mine.  I think I will be able to understand Matt better now having seeing that. 

Haru is very happy in his new home!  He's met my roomies and Matt.  Lindsey loves him; Philip is creeped out.  Matt feels upstaged, but was very proud I didn't start fangirling over Haru to his relatives. XD   I don't think I'm ever going to get his Converse sneakers to fit -- they're just too small (made for Pullip girls perhaps?) -- but his "Vans" slip-ons fit, and so do his sexy boots. His black hair is doing a pretty good job of staying on his head now.  I'm very careful with the black and pink wig because the dye (or Sharpie, Avonne? What'd you use?) comes off on my hands and has stained his temples a little. Also his hands are stained from where it got on my hands.  It doesn't matter though because there are several tutorials about cleaning them and his hair covers most of it anyway. More photo shoots will come with the clothes I didn't get a chance to photograph Friday. Here are a few more:

Tonight Philip and I are going to a John Vanderslice concert. :)  It should be fun, but I'm already sooooo tired from yesterday. I''ve only listened to a little of his stuff, but it's pretty cool. Speaking of concerts, the new Taking Back Sunday album...isn't all that good.  :\  Maybe I just havent' listened to it enough yet, but it's kind of boring.  Tehre are a few good songs --  "Swing," "Cut Me Up Jenny," and "Everything Must Go" --  but a lot of really bland stuff too. I hope at the show this month they play some older stuff too. I guess Where You Want To Be is always going to be my favorite TBS album.

Haru is now a model like his mommy. :D

Today might be the day.  Or it might be tomorrow.  Or Friday. Oooooh the suspense is a'killin me.  If you don't know what I'm talking about you'll know soon enough. ;)

My boss is out of town again so I am posting from work.  XD  In the office all alonnne.  Matt just got hired on as a full-time employee at CSN customer service center, where he's been part time for about a month.  I'm so happy for him.  He gets health care and a 401K now.  I'm proud of him; he's been looking for such a long time!  His mom is giving him a hard time about it though, since it means he probably won't be finishing his M.A. Matt's mom and grandma are coming up here this weekend.  I've only met them once, over a year ago, so I'll have to be on my best behavior!   I'm glad he and I talked things out before they came up; otherwise I might have created an awkward situation.

Speaking of awkward situations, bad roommate has resigned herself to moving out, it seems.  Although I haven't actually spoken with her since her fight with Lindsey went down -- I know only what I can glean from overheard phone conversations with her parents.  Don't blame me for spying; her voice is so loud I can hear every word from the hallway. >>;

Matt and I have developed this ritual of listening to Loveline before we go to bed, and I find myself always connecting the callers to Haru-kun.  Like last night some girl asked if too much anal sex was bad for you, and I was like, HARU!  And someone else had been using a lot of cocaine and his nose would not stop running even though he'd been clean for a few months, and I was like, HARU. Or someone calls and says "Hi I'm 14 and... I'm in love with a 25 year old" and I'm like IT'S HARU.  Or someone calls in saying they're a sex addict and I'm like HARU HARU HARU!  an And then Dr. Drew inevitably asks if they were abused sexually when they were younger.  And they aways were.  Either that or they were abandoned by a parent.  And I'm like HARU KEEPS CALLING LOVELINE and Matt's like "No." XD

Also, this is one of the most childish, most asinine ideas I've had in awhile, but I started a LxLight fic where L is a vampire. I know, I know.  I'm considering bagging the whole thing out of sheer shame. XD

I kind of want to go down to the food truck outside and buy a croissant right now.  I'm not really hungry, but I'm not satisfied either.  I've been carbo-loading in a bad way lately.  And I feel huge, but the scale says nothing's changed, so I guess I can breathe easy.

Also? Danzou? Should never have been promoted to Hokage.  D: I demand a recount.


ETA:  Bad roommate has now threatened to sue us.  For what?  For not liking her?  I cannot believe this woman.

As for the rest of my life, the parts that were hard are doing better, and the parts that were good are still good. Not much to report, other than that the laundromat below our apartment raised their fare from $2.00 to $2.75 over night. Not cool.
